I just finished reading Catcher in the Rye in class, and I really loved it.
I love Holden. Even if he is a hypocrite and he makes mistakes.
He's hilarious, and he's just like each of us. He's growing up.
He's maturing. It's a pretty deep book. And even if the whole thing is told through his warped point of view, and he's technically in an insane asylum, or loony bin when he's telling it [hinted at the very begining] I still think it's optimistic. Think of how it ends.
I know it's a famous book, so I figured other people might have opinions on it too :]
